STILL LIFE

The notion of time passing, is integral to being still. Shooting a video that captures stillness, reminds me of how we endure time and the feeling of being still with a constantly traveling mind, is an extension of that. Spaces are still in a way that our minds never are. Time passing and how we are (in a way) its captive, is the experience of Still Life & Still Move.
I am using this relationship to view our sense of space both internal and external. The most important thing about the piece is its stillness. And by showing uninterrupted stillness through a video, the passing of time becomes strikingly apparent. While the induced meaning is brought in by the act of viewing, which is after all a dynamic process.
